This notice explains how the operator of RAIN Online ("RAIN", "we", or "us") handles personal information when you visit the site, create an account, play, make a purchase, contact support, or interact with other players.
Information we collect
- Account: email address, account identifiers, sign-in records, consent choices, and session security data such as IP address and user agent.
- Game: characters, progress, inventory, cards, cosmetics, settings, commands, zone activity, parties, trades, and other gameplay events.
- Social and safety: friends, blocks, mutes, reports, moderation decisions, and player chat. Chat evidence is normally retained for 30 days.
- Purchases: product, amount, currency, subscription status, provider customer and transaction identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card details; RAIN does not store complete card numbers.
- Site activity: aggregate visits, pages viewed, signup and login flow steps, referral host, campaign tags, and a pseudonymous account identifier when signed in. Funnel metrics do not include your email address.
- Support and diagnostics: messages you send us, crash reports, performance measurements, and technical logs needed to diagnose service problems.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts; operate and secure the live game; save progress; provide multiplayer, social, support, and billing features; prevent fraud, abuse, and cheating; enforce the Terms; diagnose failures; comply with law; and, only when you opt in, send product news and event messages.
Service providers and disclosure
We disclose only the information needed to service providers that host the game, deliver email, process payments, and provide aggregate product analytics, operational analytics, or error monitoring. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect players or the service, or as part of a business reorganization. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
Account and game data are kept while your account is active. Chat evidence is normally removed after 30 days. Authentication throttling records expire after 24 hours. Support, safety, security, fraud, and transaction records may be kept longer when reasonably needed for disputes, accounting, legal obligations, or protecting the service. Account deletion removes gameplay and social data and de-identifies retained transaction and audit records.
Your choices and rights
Signed-in players can download a machine-readable copy of their account data, change optional marketing consent, and delete their account at Account. You may also contact Support to request access, correction, restriction, objection, or help exercising privacy rights available where you live. We may need to verify a request and may retain limited records where law permits or requires it.
Children
RAIN Online is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact Support so we can investigate and delete it.
Security and international use
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a browser-based live service, but no system is completely secure. The service and its providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the protections required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the beta and its providers change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through Support.
